Walter Home Stories with Fabian

Walter Home Stories mit Fabian

In the Walter Home Stories series we introduce various personalities and their living spaces.
Walter visits Fabian.
My name is Fabian, I work in the financial industry and live in a renovated old apartment.

Besides interior design, analog photography is one of my greatest passions and a creative counterpoint to my analytical profession. My enthusiasm for analog is not limited to 35mm film, but also includes vinyls, specialty coffee and books/magazines.

I would describe my interior design style as follows: “Hygge” meets Zen.

Japanese design places emphasis on simplicity, functionality, high craftsmanship and organic shapes and lines with a touch of Zen philosophy, while Scandinavian design is characterized by a combination of natural materials, comfort and a cozy atmosphere.

Combined with some mid-century vintage collectibles, a natural color palette and the interplay between warm and cold materials, a unique atmosphere is created.

Your two favorite ice cream flavors?

Mare di Berna and coconut from Gelateria Di Berna.

If you could travel through time, where would you go?

I would travel a few hundred years into the future to experience how much technological advances in space travel, artificial intelligence and medicine have changed life on earth and what challenges people will face in the future. In contrast to this, I would love to travel back to the 80s. I associate this time with nostalgic charm and would like to experience the wild pop culture of that time as a young adult.

Your favorite furniture at home?

The two Togos by Michel Duracoy and the custom-made marble table by Frama CPH.
