In the Walter Home Stories series we introduce various personalities and their living spaces.
Walter visits Mara.

 

My name is Mara, I am a student and I live here with my partner Victor in our “concrete cave”.

I was particularly impressed with our apartment because of the attention to detail, the somewhat special architecture and the large outdoor space. We have a balcony for our herbs and rose bushes and in the summer we are allowed to use the large vegetable patch in the garden, where we plant and harvest whatever we like.

Your two favorite ice cream flavors?

My two favorite ice cream flavors are chocolate and lavender.

If you could travel through time, where would you go?

There are of course many things to do... To name one time: I would travel to the 1960s. Two men received a Nobel Prize at that time, the results of their research being based largely on the findings of Rosalind Franklin. I would like to find a way to ensure that Rosalind, who had already died by then, was at least mentioned in the acceptance speech.

Your favorite furniture at home?

My favorite piece of furniture is the Oscar Piccolo lamp. Every time I look at it, it invites me to dream.
