Walter loves the combination of design classics, in-house productions and vintage unique items. Walter's story begins in 2009 on a trip with friends. Inspired by the unique aesthetics of disused but still exceptionally beautiful objects and their stories. Things that have mastered their tasks brilliantly for decades. But fortunately have not always served their purpose. In 2010, the concept store "Walter Furniture & Home Accessories" opens in Zurich West. Objects from former factories, workshops, bakeries, farms, pharmacies and old shops are carefully restored and presented in an old printing works at Geroldstrasse 15 in District 5 on 450m2.

The range now consists mainly of modern design objects, tried-and-tested classics and furniture from Atelier Walter's own production, which will be given even greater focus in the future. The company's own line is constantly being supplemented with new designs. The high quality, the simple shapes and everything made in Switzerland ensure recognition and increasing popularity among home aficionados. What remains Walter's driving force is the unbridled passion for bringing together things from different eras and styles in the right context and for creating unusual and individual spaces.
