Leva chair

Leva is the first wooden chair designed by Foster + Partners. Inspired by the efficiency of the shape and materiality of an oar, Leva is designed with ergonomics in mind: its steam-bent arms, made from a single piece of machined wood, are slightly inclined and widen in the middle to form a comfortable, supportive backrest. Leva's seemingly simple form is the result of complex surface treatment that optimizes the chair for mass production. The economical use of material is rooted in the idea of ​​sustainability - doing more with less.
