Designed by Rune Krøjgaard and Knut Bendik Humlevik, the Shanghai Chair is a modern interpretation of the ancient Chinese horseshoe chair. The design can be said to date back more than 700 years, as the inspiration for the armrest was found in a chair from the Yuan Dynasty, when Marco Polo was still in China.

Whether for an old or new building, the minimalist furniture from NORR11 gives every room a homely, stylish ambience. Since NORR11 was founded on November 11, 2011, the designer collective has been reinventing Scandinavian design and creating timeless pieces of furniture. NORR11 focuses on the fusion of tradition and renewal of classic Scandinavian design, influenced by the timeless Japanese approach to materials and techniques.
